Social Pride

JOOST VAN BLEISWIJK & PARTICIPANTS

Kazerne Lab

In the Kazerne Lab, professional creatives work with different economic sectors in collaborative crossovers which can spark the inspiration for products which respond to current issues.
Joost van Bleiswijk will be trying to find out why people damage their own environment. Why is it, for example, that somebody takes great care of their own telephone but feels the need to vandalise the bus stop outside their house? Can a designer find a solution to this problem? Who or what is needed to solve it? Could it be a service, such as an awareness-raising project, or is prevention, such as the provision of a vandal-proof, anti-graffiti bus stop the answer?

Send your details to info@kazerne.com. We will contact you as soon as possible to explore the possibilities.

Kazerne Social Design Lab

Thanks to the support of the DOEN Foundation, artists, designers and other creatives will be working on crossover initiatives to discover new solutions for societal issues. Taking a fresh look from a different angle, they will approach current social, cultural and economic issues with the inspiration and new perspectives required to find innovative solutions. This may sound rather high-flown, but it is in fact an extremely practical process.
